This session will introduce participants to innovative ways to align employee’s training hours/professional development with the Child & Youth Care (CYC) certification, an international, widely recognized credential for child and youth care work practitioners.

CYC certification allows individuals to demonstrate their development as a professional and participate in true career development. Aligning training with competencies and creating intentional professional development plans with individuals to continue to elevate our programs has helped with recruitment and retention while enhancing employability skills.  Certification provides a transportable, widely recognized credential that benefits the employee over the entire course of their career.

Come learn about certification and how it can fit into your program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about the CYC Certification program and how it can be integrated into organizational professional development
  • Learn how others are using the program to encourage retention and recruitment efforts
