1 hour
Today’s classrooms are more diverse than ever, and youth care professionals are uniquely positioned to help young people develop the skills needed to thrive in a global society. This interactive webinar equips practitioners with practical strategies to embed intercultural competence (IC) into lesson plans across grade levels from early childhood through young adult settings.
Participants will explore age-appropriate activities that foster empathy, respect, and global awareness, while also learning how to adapt programs to different contexts. The session will address strategies for navigating the current political climate by framing IC in neutral, widely accepted terms (such as global competence and civic readiness) and embedding it into existing programs.
Attendees will leave with actionable ideas to integrate IC into everyday practice supporting youth in developing curiosity, collaboration, and cultural awareness that extends far beyond the activities.
